We're excited to support foster families in our community through our building mates, Hope & Home. Welcoming a new foster child into a home is a significant and often challenging transition for both the child and the family. To help ease this process, we want to provide a homemade meal to these families on their first evening together. We're calling all cooks to join us, the Mission Committee, in the Kirk's lower level kitchen on March 29th, from 9 a.m. until noon, where we will prepare and freeze 8-10 meals for Hope & Home to give to foster families receiving a new child, or those families who just need a little help. Whether you're a seasoned chef or cook a little at home, your skills can make a big difference in the lives of foster families. If you're interested in participating, please RSVP via text to Vicki Wright at 443-742-2138. We need 5-9 people to help complete this task. Afterward, we will sample our culinary creations as we lunch together! Your kindness will nourish children’s bodies and warm foster parents' hearts. Together, we can make a loving impact and bring hope and home to those who need it most.
