upcoming events

Church is not where we go, it is what we do. Not just on Sundays, not just with other Kirk folks.

We engage our faith through conversation, service, community, and more.

If one or more of these events gives you energy, or pause come and join us! All are welcome!

  • All Kirk Work Day

We need all hands on deck, Saturday, October 26 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. as we

prepare our building for winter and do some much needed work. We will have outdoor tasks like raking leaves, pulling weeds, clean gutters, and stairwells and indoor projects like shampooing carpet, organizing, building shelves, cleaning and much more. A list of tasks is here. If you are unable to join us please contact the office for a project to complete at a different time. However, October 26 will be a great day of community with our church and our renters as we come together to care for the space we share!

  • Theology on Tap

What are you afraid of? Ghosts and goblins? Mortality? Climate Change? The upcoming Election Season? What does our faith have to say to our fear? Join us for a casual conversation at our monthly Theology on Tap as we discuss the theology of fear. We will gather at Brightmarten located at 730 South University from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, October 20. Childcare is available at the Kirk.

  • All Saints Sunday

Sunday, November 3, we will celebrate All Saints’ Sunday as we light candles to remember those in our community and the saints in our lives who have shown us the light of God.

  • Faithful Adulting Thanksgiving

We have many small groups at the Kirk. One of these groups is made up of those in their 20’s, 30’s and  40’s. We gather together regularly for discussion and community. We will gather on Saturday, November 23th for our annual Thanksgiving Dinner in the Lower Level at the Kirk. Everyone is invited to bring a side or dessert to share! Mark your calendars for a great evening of food and friends! Kids are welcome!
