In 1947 a group of people said "yes" to starting a new church. They gathered in homes, invited their friends, baked pies, loved their neighbors and sang and listened, learned and grew. 75 years later their "yes" has impacted countless lives through the ministries of Kirk of Bonnie Brae United Church of Christ and we want to celebrate it all, from Roots to Branches. The weekend of October 1-2 we will gather to remember our roots, but also to recognize the many branches that have grown far and wide from the ministries that began in this neighborhood so long ago. This event is for the current participants of the Kirk, but also for former Kirk members and friends and those who don't know us yet. All are welcome to join us as we serve, remember, delight, play, and renew our commitment to this place and to God's call for us to be a community of faith, justice and love.
