Habitat News

We are ready to build!

The Bails Neighborhood Project is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, January 6 and continue through Saturday May 1.

New Adult Sunday School Class

At the first meeting of the Sunday school book club, we chose our first book for discussion. It will be The Art of Racing in the Rain, by Garth Stein.

We will discuss it on Sunday, January 3, 2010 in the Zone 68 room (formerly the library) at 10:30 a.m.

It is a fast read and a sweet story. It is the story of a family and their tials and tribulations and love, told through the eyes of the family dog.

Anyone is welcome, whether they have read the book or not.

Whiz Kids is Back!

A group of kids will come from Ellis Elementary School every Thursday after school, to the site of their Whiz Kids tutoring program at the Kirk of Bonnie Brae United Church of Christ. Tutors are Needed! To learn more about Whiz Kids, and sign up to be a tutor, visit www.whizkidstutoring.com or call 303-504-0449, or contact Sandy Stokely at Ellis School or Susan Sirnic at the Kirk, 303-777-0343.

Entertainment and Gold C Books

We will be selling Entertainment and Gold C books again this year. Last year we earned nearly $500. The books will be delivered in late August. The prices are the same as last year -- $25 for the Entertainment book and $10 for the Gold C book.

Here are ways you can help us meet our goal:

1. Buy books for yourself and for gifts.
2. Contact people you sold books to last year and get their order for this year.
3. Contact additional people, such as your neighbors, fellow club members.
